Shenanigans: The Musical
'Shenanigans: The Musical' is a card game I began to design the character art for in September 2015 and was released on the 11th April 2016 by The People's Orchestra , via a kickstarter.
The game revolves around two main characters, the Artiste and the Manager. The Artiste is characterised as a eccentric and dramatic musician, unable to play his instrument and generally causing havoc among the orchestra. The Manager aims to correctly identify and fire the Artiste by listening to the other musicians pleas and deception throughout the game, at which point the Manager wins the game.
The game also comes with expansion three expansion packs. Each can be encorporated to change the rules of the game.

(THESE ARE VERY OLD DRAWINGS NOW!)
The puppy moved in the final version because the character was too long horizontally to fit in the space on the card.
I was glad the top hat and cane could be added, and loved that I could draw in fuzzy pink bunny slippers.
If someone was so relaxed, he might even have fallen asleep, as Alfred has here.
I really have no idea why Dora the Explorer popped into my head.
I modelled this character on Cruella de Ville (who I was already drawing in another illustration) and my lovely little sister (who happens to play the harp!). The pillar on the harp was brilliant to decorate and I am really happy with it.
I thought about what would would happen if someone played the drums that much; they would be dreaming about it!
If someone was that dedicated to their instrument, they might hug it! (I am aware this is a keyboard, but having the character hug a piano proved difficult to draw and wouldn't fit in the space on the card!).
